GentleLase Laser
For some cosmetic skin concerns and conditions, Dr. Gallacher finds the GentleLase Laser to be the most appropriate treatment. It is an Alexandrite laser, which means it uses alexandrite crystal as its source. It is a red-light laser, emitting a specific wavelength of light (755 nanometers) in the infrared spectrum.
What Makes It Special?
The GentleLase has a fixed pulse duration of 3 milliseconds, and variable spot sizes of 12 mm, 15 mm, and 18 mm. It requires fewer pulses than other models, making treatments quicker and more comfortable. The energy, or fluence, can go as high as 30 joules/cm2 on the 15-mm spot, and as high as 20 joules/cm2 on the 18-mm spot.
Cooling Spray for Comfortable Procedures!
It also emits a cooling spray to the skin just before and just after each laser pulse, helping to make the treatment as comfortable as possible for patients.
