At the Dermatology and Laser Centre, we can help you take steps to slow down the aging process. We offer a wide variety of exciting non-invasive treatments for revitalizing aging skin. For optimal results we often recommend combining two or more of these treatments.
Botox/Dysport: can help reduce dynamic (associated with muscle movement) facial lines and wrinkles, particularly the deep creases between the eyes and on the forehead and the smaller “crow’s feet” lines on either side of the eyes. Botox/Dysport can be used for treatment of deep vertical lines on the upper and lower lip.
Chemical Peels: We offer several types of chemical peels, from mild glycolic-, lactic-, and fruit- acid treatments to deeper peels. These peels also help lighten the “age” spots that often accompany wrinkles; they gently hydrate dry, rough skin.
Dermal Fillers: can reduce or even eliminate all sorts of wrinkle problems, including lines that are only partially corrected by Botox/Dysport. We have great success treating deep and resistant lines on the forehead, crow’s feet, and lines around the mouth, without changing the normal anatomy of the treated area. Only minimal touch up is required every six months to maintain the results.
Fractional Ablative Resurfacing / MicroLaser Peel Laser energy: is used to remove the upper layers of age-damaged skin. As new cells form during the healing process, the skin appears smoother and younger looking. Dr. Gallacher offers several state-of-the-art laser treatments – non-ablative (minimal downtime) and ablative (superior results, some downtime).
Medical Skin Care Products: Scientific advances have led to the development of highly effective skin care products for correcting and repairing sun- and age-damaged skin. Some are prescription creams, others, known as “cosmeceuticals” have powerful effects on the skin and are dispensed by physicians only. Our practice carries only the best of the best within these product lines.
